It s been over a year since AMD released it s first Eyefinity-enabled 5000 series graphics card. Eyefinity requires the third monitor to be either a DisplayPort monitor which are still expensive, or a monitor connected with an active adapter to synchronize the signals for a DVI or HDMI monitor. Earlier active DP to Dual Link DVI adapters were very expensive around $120 and required power from an open usb port. Well back in August AMD announced the availability of the inexpensive DisplayPort to Single Link DVI adapter. Well finally it s here!!!

Setup
The graphics card that we are using for our Eyefinity test is a XFX HD 5870. We are going to be using 2 different brands of monitors as well, one AG Neovo F-419 19-inch, and two Hanns G JW-199DPB 19-inch widescreen monitors.
First step is to connect the Single Link DVI end of the adapter to the monitors DVI cable. Second thing you need to do is plug the Active DP end of the adapter into your graphics card DisplayPort.
