NAKAMICHI ZX-9 PRO DISCREET HEAD CASSETTE RECORDER DECK

This is the audiophiles esoteric audio cassette recorder as the discrete heads can be manually calibrated for perfect azimuth alignment for maximum record/playback sensitivity depending on type of tapes used. The deck may be used with three types of audio cassettes, the normal, chrome, and metal formulation.

The introduction of the Super Linear Torque Direct Drive motor further reduces tape wow-and-flutter and modulation noise to deliver excellent audio reproduction of recorded material. The Nakamichi ZX-9 and the Dragon are the flagship audiophile decks that established Nakamichi as the undisputed leader in high-end esoteric stereo audio-cassette recording.

As can be seen from the photos, the transport motors and the LED level indicators, tape counter powers-up and are functioning normally. I have not tested this unit for playback and recording purposes as I have no blank cassette tape available to test on. This sophisticated audio cassette deck definitely needs fine-tuning and transport belt replacement/s are to be done only by an authorized Nakamichi service expert, to ensure that it performs as per its maximum specifications.

I have included the rubber belt parts for replacement so that the required replacement can immediately be done by a qualified Nakamichi service expert in your area. Included with this superb audio deck, are the Nakamichi RM-200 wired remote control and two pairs of Nakamichi RCA-types of audio cables which are in as new condition as these were all kept in a storage box for many years during transfer of residences.
