HELIOS-44m-4 vs other versions
The H-44m-4 is multicoated(MC) lens and is appreciated most of all for it’s high resolving power and contrast – it is sharp and contrasty even wide open. Has aperture pin that can be blocked(reversible and free of charge), allowing for operating the aperture full range on all cameras by turning the aperture ring on the lens barrel.
The lens s/n 857648 is in very good to excellent condition!
Nearly no signs of use on lens barrel. Glass is clean and clear, no fungus, no haze, no scratches.
Might have few light wipe marks / few internal dust particles, but these will have no effect on image quality.
Mechanics is very good: focusing is smooth, almost a little loose even.
Aperture blades are snappy, without oil.
Creates beautiful Biotar style bokeh – out of focus highlights are rendered as beautiful discs.
