Directions: Enjoy the benefits of pure essential oil for massage or in your bath. For massage, dilute at a recommended rate of 5 drops of essential oil to 10mL of Piping Rock Natural Carrier Oil.

Originating in Australia, but cultivated elsewhere, notably South Africa, lemon tea tree is a flowering shrub with slender foliage. Its leaves and twigs are the source of its essential oil, which has the benefits of its relative, tea tree, yet bears a distinctive citrusy fragrance. Like its cousin, lemon tea tree is often used topically because of its considerable cleansing properties. Regularly incorporated into body care products, lemon tea tree is also highly valued to help keep those pesky insects at bay!

History of Lemon Tea Tree
A vibrant variant of the legendary tea tree, Leptospermum petersonii, sometimes referred to as lemon-scented tea tree, has long been overshadowed, with its more prominent family member getting most of the glory. However, the Maori people of New Zealand have long valued lemon tea tree, crafting fishing materials and canoes out of its wood and using the plant to support healthy skin. Boasting significant beneficial properties, lemon tea tree also supports healthy finger and toenails when applied topically. In addition to these benefits, lemon tea tree features a full, citrus-like scent that also brings to mind lemongrass and citronella, providing a slightly milder aromatic alternative to tea tree itself.
