Without the proper skills, employees may feel that the company’s investigation was done haphazardly, or worse arbitrarily, thereby prompting them to seek the assistance and intervention of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) or the National Labor Relations Commission (DOLE) by way of a labor complaint.
Labor complaints expose employers to great and costly ri******ismissed employees may get reinstated to their former positions. Employees illegally terminated would be entitled to backwages, damages, attorney’s fees, interest and other monetary awards that can reach millions of pesos. And of course, companies would be sidetracked from their usual businesses and activities, making them unproductive and uncompetitive.
