DAY 01 Manila - Madrid Spain
Departure Manila to Madrid, enjoy in-flight amenities, meals and entertainment on board,
DAY 02 ARRIVED MADRID
Upon arrival, check into your hotel and the rest of the day is free in a full of life city of Madrid. Dinner
DAY 03 Madrid
After breakfast, get ready for an exciting day tour in the Spanish capital, a cosmopolitan city that combines the most modern infrastructures and the status as an economic, financial, administrative and service centre, with a large cultural and artistic heritage, a legacy of centuries of exciting history. Enjoy most of it by joining the included guided sightseeing tour: a full panoramic drive by way of the Avenida Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Parliament Square, and a picture stop outside the Royal Palace. The optional trip to Toledo is worth visiting too. The splendid setting of this old walled city above the Tagus was made famous in El Greco’s painting, and even now it’s like a great open-air museum of Spanish history & art.
DAY 04 Madrid–Avila–Salamanca–Coimbra, Portugal
Take the route in the western part for a visit to Avila with its many towers. Then travel to Salamanca, which are a few miles from the spot where Wellington routed Napoleon’s army in 1812. Make sure you spend some time roaming around Plaza Mayor, the grandest square in the country. Descend to the highest valley range in the Continental of Portugal, Serra da Estrela to Coimbra for an overnight.
DAY 05 Coimbra–Batalha–Fátima–Lisbon
After breakfast, enjoy your orientation tour of Coimbra, celebrated for its beauty and ancient university. Afterwards, travel southwards to Batalha with a visit to its beautifully sited monastery, a town founded by King Joãoof Portugal. Today’s anticipated highlight is a visit to the Sanctuary of Fátima. A sterner and more desolate landscape accompanies you to Lisbon for your overnight in Portugal’s capital. A stop en route includes a wine bodega and some wine tasting.
DAY 06 Lisbon
Start the day exploring the historical city of Lisbon, wherein the late Henry the Navigator made Lisbon the 15th-century mistress of the seas. See his monument, the Belem Tower, the Moorish Citadel, and the impressive Black Horse Square. Spend the rest of the day in the Alfama’s tile-decorated streets, or take an optional excursion to coastal Estoril and Cascais. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 07 Lisbon–Seville, Spain
From the rolling plains of the Alentejo with its woodlands of cork and eucalyptus trees, we will drive all the way to the brilliant light of Andalusia. Admire its neat white-painted villages and sun-drenched plantations of olives, figs, and almonds,while traveling by way of Beja into the acclaimed most beautiful city of Seville.
DAY 08 Seville
At leisure in one of Spain’s most vibrant cities. Spend this day enjoying an optional sightseeing tour including the main highlights of this dynamic city. Dinner at the hotel.
DAY 09 Seville–Ferry to Morocco–Fez
Start the day driving down the road with views of the sherry wine region before reaching the coast for embarkation on the ferry to Morocco. Next stop to motor south along what was once northern Africa’s infamous Barbary Coast. Join the new motorway for the drive southwards, then west, bypassing Meknes for two overnights in Fez. Then transfer to hotel.
DAY 10 Fez
After breakfast, enjoy the astounding scenic beauty of ancient Fez, the third largest city of Portugal. Visit the Medina on the included sightseeing and enjoy the maze of narrow streets through the colorful bazaars and the exotic atmosphere. Transfer to the hotel and dinner.
DAY 11 Fez–Middle Atlas–Marrakesh
In the morning, we will drive our way through the Middle Atlas to Marrakesh, Morocco's most intoxicating city. Ever since Morocco's Jewel of the South became a trading and resting place on the ancient caravan routes from Timbuktu, the city has barely paused for breath. Enjoy the glimpses of North African village life reminiscent of Beau Geste.
DAY 12 Marrakesh
After breakfast, we will take the highlight of this day which included the city sightseeing of magnificent Marrakesh. You’ll really feel as if you’ve stopped the march of time. Marrakesh has always been a meeting place—first just a group of nomad tents, now a bustling city. An optional evening excursion will be a fitting choice to end the day. Transfer to the hotel for overnight and dinner.
DAY 13 Marrakesh–Casablanca–Rabat
From Marrakesh we will drive our way to northwest from the heartland of Morocco by way of Settat to reach the most western of all Moroccan cities—Casablanca. Stop in Casablanca for a while and in the afternoon; continue by way of the
motorway northwards to Rabat, Morocco’s second largest city for sightseeing, dinner.
DAY 14 Rabat–Ferry Crossing to Spain–Granada
After breakfast, set for an early departure retraces your steps northwards for the ferry across the Straits of Gibraltar to mainland Spain. And we will drive directly to the heart of Andalusia to reach the cultured city of Granada. Overnight
DAY 15 Granada–Madrid
everyone will be fascinated with the Alhambra, a summer complex and palace built by the Moorish kings. In the afternoon, we will transfer into the very heart of La Mancha, a natural and historical region located on an arid but fertile, elevated plateau of central Spain, south of Madrid, stretching between the Montes de Toledo and the western spurs of
the SerranÃa de Cuenca. Overnight in the city of Madrid.
DAY 16 Madrid – Manila
After breakfast, time is free until you transfer to airport for your flight back to Manila.
